The Traveling Veterinary Technician

My name is Leanne & I’ve been a veterinary technician for 14 years. I’ve been doing dentals for 8 years & for the past year I’ve been doing non anesthetic dentals. Though Non anesthetic dentals are beneficial to any age, they are mainly beneficial for older pets & pets that are medically compromised. This procedure is also beneficial for the owners who have anxiety towards anesthesia so yes this can be risky for me but much safer for them. If you or someone you know would like to know more about this procedure or need help setting up an appointment, I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or help set up that appointment for your Furr Baby. I hope to be of service to you or someone you may know one day. Have a blessed day!

Servicing New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania. Based out of New Jersey.

Why Non-Anesthetic Dental

1.Your pets’ teeth are cleaned in half the time of an anesthetic dental right in the comfort of their home.

2.Although blood work is highly recommended at any age for general health knowledge, it is not required for N.A.D. since there is no anesthetics or sedatives being used for this procedure. During an anesthetic cleaning blood work is required within 30 days of a cleaning to ensure your pets vital organs can support general anesthesia.

3.Occasionally antibiotics will be prescribed either before or after cleaning depending on severity, but no medications are required to preform this procedure.

4.No recovery time required due to sedatives and anesthesia also no after surgery at home care required except daily teeth brushing for maintenance.

5.More cost efficient $400 - $500 for N.A.D. compared to an anesthetic dental being anywhere from $800 - $2000 depending on severity.

6.Overall great for pets of all ages, pets with health complications that make them high risk for going under anesthesia, or even pets who shouldn’t go under at all. Even the healthiest of pets run the risk of going under and not waking up. Your doctor doesn’t put you under for a cleaning neither should your pet’s doctor unless necessary for extractions. Your Furr Baby should be given the chance to see how they do awake before jumping straight to anesthesia.
