All About Me,

What I Do & Why I Do It.

My name is Leanne Verrelli. I’m a mom to two human babies Grayson & Violet. I’m also a mom to 3 fur babies my Akita named Hiroshi, my Shiba named Audi & my kitty named Mikasa. Nature & animals have been my biggest passion since I was a little girl. I’ve been a veterinary technician for 14 years in a hospital setting and have decided to mix my talents and traveling. Though dentals are my favorite part of my field, I offer a wide variety of services and I absolutely cannot wait to meet your fur babies in which ever service you chose. I like to maintain long term relationships with my clients and their pets’, building bonds and trust with my furry friends. I take pride in my work. I’m very big on dental hygiene especially when it comes to pets because far more often than not it’s overlooked. Poor dental hygiene in any species leads to many diseases. Most recently I worked in a holistic hospital which is where I was first introduced to Non-Anesthetic Dentals. I thought it was such an awesome thing but of course I was a little skeptical at first because in 14 years I’d never heard of a hospital offering such a service risking a situation with workmen’s comp for “just a dog” or “just a cat”. Most hospitals are concerned with liabilities, staff getting bit and the money they’d lose with a non-anesthetic dental. Well after being trained for Non-Anesthetic Dentals it got me thinking with being fear free certified, my skills with restraining of all personalities, the patience and love I truly have for these pets, and all those pets over the years I’ve seen be turned down. They were “too old” or they were medically compromised due to a health condition that made them high risk. All along there was an option; they could’ve gotten the help they needed, and they just didn’t have someone willing to take the risk. My approach is patience and a ton of positive reinforcement. With a towel, breaks, treats, a ton of love hugs and kisses and some peaceful music I use hand tools or an ultrasonic scaler to clean their teeth just like your dentist would use on you. I go tooth by tooth scaling each tooth to remove as much tartar as possible. For the past year I’ve been doing non-anesthetic dentals and most recently traveling around on my own because I believe there are so many pets that need this service that is not offered at their local vet. Since I’m a traveling technician, I travel throughout New York and New Jersey servicing all areas, but I live in New Jersey. I also do puppies and kittens at about a year and a half just to get them used to the idea of having dental work. That way with owners brushing daily and me coming every 6months to a year the hope is that they would never need an anesthetic dental unless an extraction was absolutely necessary. Nothing here is unsafe or painful and feels just how you feel during a cleaning with your dentist. I do hope to be of service to you one day or some furry friend in need. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have, thank you & Have a Blessed Day.
